Information 2017

All necessary information can be found in the Programmes, which will be available for £2 from Winkworth offices in the Market Place from 7th November 2017, or at every venue on the day. You can also ask any of the Stewards, who will be pleased to help.

There will also be a general information point in the upstairs foyer of the Town Hall (SN10 1BN).

Results will be given out by the adjudicator at the end of each class and also will be posted in the upstairs foyer of the Town Hall and on the website.

Practising

We are sorry to say that there will be no practice facilities available for the Eisteddfod this year.

Venues 2017

The venues for 2017 in Devizes :

1. Town Hall, St John’s Street, SN10 1BN

Cheese Hall (downstairs) for Piano(P), Brass (B) and Woodwind(W) classes.

Assembly Room (upstairs) for Folk(F), Vocal(V) and Musical Theatre(M) classes.

Foyer (upstairs) Information and Friends desk.

Council Chamber (upstairs) for Eisteddfod Reception (adjudicators and stewards only).

2. St John’s Church, Long Street, SN10 1NS

for Choral(C), Ensembles(E), Organ(OR) classes.

3. St Andrew’s Church, Long St, SN10 1NJ

Saturday: Speech and Drama (VS, MO, DU, SM) classes

5. St James’ Church, SN10 3AA

Friday: String(S) and Guitar(G) classes.
(Note this venue is a 10 minute walk from the Central car-park.See map below.)

Lavington School, SN10 4EB

The Dance Classes (D) will all be at Lavington School (about 6 miles south of Devizes) on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November.

Car-parks in Devizes:

Please note that the only big all-day car-parks are at the Wharf car-park and the far end of Station Road car-park. Sheep Street car-park is also all-day (£6) but small. All other main car parks now have a maximum allowed stay of 3 hours.

6. Station Road car-park, long term, SN10 1BZ

Long-term (2nd entrance from the Market Place end) £4.00 for all day

7. Station Road car-park, short term, SN10 1BZ

Short-term (1st entrance on left from the Market Place end) £1.50 for 3 hours (max)

8. Central car-park, SN10 1DW

Short term, entrance from Maryport Street. 3 hours maximum allowed stay : £2.10

9. Wharf car-park, SN10 1EB

Long term, entrance from New Park Street, £6.00 for all day
