CREATIVE ARTS PAGE\n

Our next festival will be in March 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Creative Arts entries cover the Short Story, Poem, Handwriting, Art, Sculpture, Photography, Pottery, Ceramics, Graphics, Textiles and Original Music Composition classes.<\/p>\n

There will also be an Adult Art class (A8).

And please note our Creative Arts Presentation evening where you can discuss your work with the adjudicators.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Trophies<\/h3>\n

There are trophies to be won in each class of the Creative Arts programme.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Entries<\/h3>\n

Entries will open on Monday 2nd December.<\/p>\n\n

Entries will close on Friday 31st January 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.<\/p>\n

Entrants must be aged 18 & under on 1st September 2024 for all classes except Art where adults may also enter. Entry for all classes is \u00a33. There is no limit to the number of times an entrant may enter each class.<\/p>\n

All submitted work must be sent to:

Creative Arts Presentation Evening<\/h3>\n

Thursday 20 March 2025<\/strong> at 6.30pm in the Assembly Room, Devizes Town Hall.<\/p>\n

Class winners will be invited to meet the adjudicators and discuss their work. At the end of each session, trophies will be awarded. Other entrants are warmly invited also to come and listen to the adjudicators’ comments.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Creative Arts Exhibition<\/h3>\n

Class winners\u2019 work will be displayed at a Creative Arts Exhibition on 21 – 22 March 2025 in the Assembly Room, Devizes Town Hall. <\/p>\n

All work will then be available for collection from Wansbroughs Solicitors, Northgate House, Devizes SN10 1JX from Monday, 24 March 2025. Work from Partnership Schools will be returned directly to the schools from 24 March 2025 onwards.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

         How do I enter the Eisteddfod?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

Your entry must be made on-line via this website from Monday 2nd December 2024. Entries will close at 5pm on Friday 31st January 2025. All the submitted items must arrive at the Eisteddfod by the closing date: 5pm Friday 31st January 2025.<\/p>\n

         How much does it cost to enter?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

It costs \u00a33 per item to enter.  <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

If you are from an Eisteddfod partnership school you will be invoiced the total amount after entry.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Otherwise please pay by bank transfer (sort code: 30-92-63, account number: 00091902, account name: Devizes Eisteddfod).  Please use the Reference number you will be given on entry as the Payment Reference. Your entry will not be confirmed until payment has been received.<\/p>\n

If you prefer to pay by cheque, please make it out to Devizes Eisteddfod and put the Reference number on the back of the cheque. Be sure to include your cheque when sending your items to the Eisteddfod. Your entry will not be confirmed until payment has been received.<\/p>\n

         How do I submit items for the Eisteddfod?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

If you are from an Eisteddfod partnership school, you will be contacted to arrange collection of your items from your school by a member of the Eisteddfod committee.<\/p>\n

Otherwise you will need to send or deliver your items by 5pm on Friday 31st January 2025 to:<\/p>\n

In all cases, please ensure that each item is clearly marked with the child\/student\u2019s name, Eisteddfod class, and title of the work where appropriate.<\/p>\n

         When do I need to enter?\u00a0<\/a>

<\/p>\n

The deadline for all entries is 5pm Friday 31st January 2025.\u00a0 We are not able to accept any entries after this date.\u00a0<\/p>\n

         What if I have additional item(s) to those I have already entered on-line?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

If, after entering on-line, you find you have any additional item(s) (perhaps from a newly-arrived member into your school class), then make a new entry for them on-line. It doesn't matter how many entries you make, they all get combined.<\/p>\n

         When will I hear about the results?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

Schools\/parents of winners and any runners-up will be notified by email by Friday 7th March 2025. All results will be available on the website on Friday 7th March 2025.<\/p>\n

         What awards will be given?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

The adjudicators will give a completed comment sheet and certificate for every item received. For each Eisteddfod class, they will select a class winner who will receive a trophy.  In some classes there will also be runners-up who will each receive a medal.<\/p>\n

         How will awards be presented?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

All class winners and any runners-up will be invited to the Creative Arts Presentation which will take place at 6.30pm on Thursday 20th March 2025 at the Town Hall in Devizes.  They will receive their awards from the adjudicators and be able to see their work on display.  This exhibition of displayed work will continue in the Town Hall throughout Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd March 2025.<\/p>\n

         Which items will be displayed at the Creative Arts Presentation?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

All class winners\u2019 items will be displayed, together with those from any runners-up.  Depending on available space, we may also be able to display some other work that the adjudicators were particularly impressed with.<\/p>\n

         Who may attend the Creative Arts Presentation?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

All class winners and any runners-up, together with their parents or other family members, will be invited to attend the Creative Arts Presentation evening on Thursday 20th March 2025.  Anyone else may come in to Town Hall to see the displayed work on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd March 2025.<\/p>\n

         When will items be available for collection after the Eisteddfod?<\/a>

<\/p>\n

If you are from an Eisteddfod partnership school, all your items will be delivered back to your school by a member of the Eisteddfod committee during the week beginning Monday 24th March 2025.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Otherwise, items can be collected from Wansbroughs Solicitors from Monday 24th March 2025. Items must be collected by Friday 4th April 2025. Any uncollected items will be destroyed.<\/p>\n
